🎨 Creating Custom Dashboards

While EvolveDev comes with a set of powerful default dashboards, we understand that every team, project, and leader has unique metrics they care about most. The Custom Dashboards feature gives you the tools to build, save, and share personalized dashboards that focus on exactly what's important to you.

➡️ Accessing Your Custom Dashboards

To view your existing custom dashboards or create a new one, navigate to:

Creating a New Dashboard ✨

Building your own dashboard is an intuitive process of adding and configuring widgets.

  1. From the Custom Dashboards page, click the "Create New Dashboard" button. This will open a blank canvas for you to start building.
  2. Add a Widget: Look for an "Add Widget" or "+" button on your new dashboard canvas. Clicking this will open the widget configuration panel.
  3. Configure Your Widget: For each widget you add, you can define exactly what it shows and how it looks:
    • 🎯 Select Your Metric: Choose the specific data point you want to visualize from a dropdown list. This could be anything from PR Cycle Time or Commit Frequency to Sprint Velocity or Bugs Created.
    • 📊 Choose Your Visualization: Decide how you want to display the data. You can select from various chart types, such as a Line Chart (for trends over time), a Bar Graph (for comparisons), a Pie Chart (for proportions), or a Single Number/KPI (for a key metric at a glance).
  4. Arrange Your Layout: Once a widget is created, you can drag, drop, and resize it on the dashboard canvas to create your preferred layout. Continue adding widgets until you have all the information you need.
  5. Name and Save: Give your dashboard a descriptive name (e.g., "Frontend Squad Health," "Project Titan Release Metrics") and click "Save".

📂 Revisiting and Managing Your Dashboards

Your saved dashboards are always available for you to revisit.

  • From the main Custom Dashboards page, you will see a list of all the dashboards you have created.
  • Simply click on the name of a dashboard to open and view it with the latest data.
  • You can also edit, rename, or delete your custom dashboards from this management page.
