Adding & Managing Your Team Members
Building your team in EvolveDev is simple. As an administrator, you have full control over creating, inviting, and managing user access within your organization. This guide will walk you through all the available options.
Accessing the User Management Hub 🚀
All user management functions can be found in one central place. To get there, simply navigate to:
Navigation Bar → Admin → Users
From this page, you can add new users, manage existing ones, and view pending invitations.
Adding New Users to Your Organization ✨
You have two distinct methods for bringing new people into your EvolveDev organization. Choose the one that best fits your needs.
Method 1: Creating Users (Direct Add 🪄)
Use this method when you want to add users instantly, without requiring any action from them. They will be added to the organization immediately.
- Navigate to Admin → Users and click the "Create users" button.
- You can add users in two ways:
- Individually: Enter the user's email address and select their designated role (e.g., Admin, Member).
- In Bulk: Prepare a
.csv
file with a single column of all user email addresses. Upload the file and select the role that will be assigned to all users in the list.
- Click "Create".
The users are now created! We'll send them a notification email letting them know they've been added to your EvolveDev organization. They will immediately appear in the Users table.
Method 2: Inviting Users (Onboarding Required ✉️)
Use this method when you want users to go through the standard onboarding process, where they verify their own account and connect their GitHub account themselves.
- Navigate to Admin → Users and click the "Invite users" button.
- Similar to creating users, you can invite people:
- Individually: Enter the user's email and select their role.
- In Bulk: Upload a
.csv
file containing all the emails of the users you wish to invite. Select the role for the entire batch.
- Click "Invite".
A verification email will be sent to all invited users. They must click the link in the email to accept the invitation and complete the onboarding process, which includes connecting their GitHub account. Pending invitations will be shown on the Invites page until they are accepted.
